For me, conlanging isn't a new hobby at all! In fact, the first time I seriously began to create a language was in 2010, at the age of 13. I simultaneously started learning Esperanto, and later Elefen, both of which I actively used online, to learn more about how existing constructed languages work.
I reckon I started working on Neúgric around 2013. Since then, I've created this website, translated popular literature, got the name of my language onto a T-shirt and even showed my face in the world's first ever feature-length documentary on conlangs. And the story isn't over yet... |
Neúgric in the Spotlight!
2017 saw the release of the world's first ever feature documentary about constructed languages, starring big names such as the creators of Dothraki (Game of Thrones) and Na'vi (Avatar).
The directors were keen to show off how diverse the global conlanger community is - thanks to which my portrait and the word "Neúgric" (in native script too!) made it into the film! |

We've come a long way...
Believe it or not, Neúgric hasn't always been the way it is now. Conlangers often spend years perfecting their constructed language, meaning a lot of written content becomes obsolete. Here's a brochure I created for the language (then called Neo-Ugric) many years ago - yes, before the days of my unique writing system!
Have a look!
