WHAT IS NEÚGRIC?
FOR FRIENDSNeúgric is...
PERSONAL - it’s a true reflection of my views, my interests, my way of thinking. It’s my artwork. EXPRESSIVE - by approaching concepts through a new perspective, I can express thoughts in a more sophisticated manner. EVER-CHANGING - it’s never complete. Grammar changes, words are added, idioms and figures of speech begin to appear… the language comes to life. |
FOR FELLOW CONLANGERSNeúgric a Uralic-basic a posteriori artlang. It is a predominantly suffixing agglutinative language with tendencies for derivational and relational synthesis, although some affixes are unbound. Inflectional suffixes occur according to a system of noun stem alteration. Consequently, the case system allocates case suffixes with various allomorphs for the nominative, dative, instrumental, illative, causal-final, sublative, allative, inessive, superessive, and adessive cases. The elative, delative and ablative cases are expressed with an negative affix which complements the corresponding illative, sublative or allative case suffix, respectively. Neúgric generally follows a SVO word order, with a tendency to incorporate an accusative suffix in case of syntactic deviation. All verbs except the copula are conjugate, and are inflected according to person/number (using inflectional verb suffixes accompanied by a harmonic vowel where applicable), as well as tense and mood (using verb affixes).
